Kopernio no longer integrates with Google Scholar

Kopernio was consistently working fine in Chrome and less consistently in Firefox on my Macbook. Now it is not appearing at all in either.

Hi Geoff,

Thank you for taking the time to report this. Could you please share an example DOI or URL of an article where Kopernio fails to activate?

Is this issue specific to a search provider or platform?

I neglected to mention that the problem is with Google Scholar. Any search, Kopernio doesn’t appear at all.

Hi Geoff,

Thank you for confirming this. Kopernio currently doesn't integrate with Google Scholar - it works on the individual article record pages you select from the search result list, but not the Google Scholar result page.

Is the Kopernio team working to re-establish Kopernio’s appearance in the Google Scholar result list? That was the primary feature for marketing it to students and researchers at my institution.

Hi Geoff,

Yes, we are working on bringing Kopernio back to Google Scholar. In the meanwhile, it works like our Web of Science integration - Kopernio can deliver PDFs from individual search results rather than the main search results page.

I see this problem pops up as "solved" - well: Macbook Pro/Firefox doesn't allow me to integrate google scholar at all. I get pubmed (rarely need it), and web of science - no search has included a book. I was very happy with kopernio, but I cannot use it any longer bc. it does not produce the same results as before. Did I miss something? If so - your information policy on this one is poor and unhelpful.
