Cannot access PDF through Science Direct/Elsevier even after going via institution search

When I search for papers that are hosted on Science Direct, the EndNote Click icon is the greyed out search institution button. I follow this to go via my institution, through which I do have access. Once the journal article loads I can read the full text on screen and see a download PDF button at the top, but still the Endnote Click button is greyed-out and I cannot open it in my locker.

Any ideas how to fix this?
