I hope this happens, soon—Safari seems to be the last browser to get up to speed in a number of applications; Mac people tend toward the arts and humanities, PCs toward science, math, and government . . . .

Couldn't agree more - particularly in light of the recent Firefox add-on disabling cluster-****

Given the large user base/market share of Safari, this is an important gap for Kopernio to fill. Quite agree that many of us in the social sciences and humanities are long-time Mac users. Also many of us preferentially use Safari in sensitive research to avoid giving so much control over our data to Google.

This would be most welcome. I love Kopernio. But use Mac. Don't like Chrome because of battery and RAM use. Love Safari instead. It would be a blessing to have the Safari add-on. Thanks for considering!

I also agree, and I must to add that science working people as me also use Mac computers.

It's difficult to understand that you want to grow (and even ask us to share the news) but leave out a whole community (Mac). So please do it!

Would be great to see this.

Is this going to happen? Or are you ignoring an incredibly large base of customers that will use your product if you make it compatible with Safari? I primarily use Safari because Chrome is such a drain on my battery life and RAM when it's constantly open. Hope to see you implement this soon.

Unfortunately, Safari doesn't support the technology/infrastructure that Kopernio relies on. However, we do keep an eye on Safari updates and releases as we hope to bring Kopernio to more browsers.

Currently, Kopernio is compatible with Firefox, Edge and Chrome, all of which available for macOS.

Hi Virag. The next version of Safari in macOS Big Sur will support standard WebExtensions API, as used in Firefox and chromium based browsers. Is this all that is necessary for Kopernio to work in Safari? Many thanks.

Hi Adrian, Thank you for your comment. We are aware and excited - looking forward to bringing Kopernio to Safari in the future. Thanks for bearing with us:)

Has this excitement managed to translate into any action in the intervening 20 months?

Any status updates on this? Looks like the last comments were from 4 months ago. Thanks!

No status updates. Should this feature be implemented, we will update this from Planned to Completed.

A lot of people would really appreciate this Safari plugin. Please make it a priority!

The efficiency seems a bit low. After so long, there is no status update. In addition, the endnote x20 has not yet adapted to the latest Big Sur operating system, which is disappointing.

Wish there was a Safari plugin!

Any update on the Safari version of Kopernio/Endnote Click? Can't come soon enough!

Have to wonder if there is any real plan to do this. This thread is 3 years old. Maybe the tag could just read "never."

C'mon guys and gals at Koperio. Many of us will love to be able to use this extension. Could this be your New Year Resolution? :-)

Hi, just registered here to say that I fully support this!

I need to use separate browsers just because of the lack of Safari support.

I would be very happy if you develop this and announce with an email at least to those of us here.

Safari is so integrated with the operating systems and so much improved that most Mac researchers now use it preference to Chrome or Firefox except for niche applications.
