Add option to report bad links/incorrect documents/etc.

Under Consideration

There have been a few times where the document I opened in kopernio was not the document that it said it was. I think having the option to report that so that it can be fixed would be good so that the problem doesn't keep happening.

Dear Haley,

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

We have no immediate plans to introduce an error-flagging feature in the plugin, but the product team will prioritise this for 2021.

Currently, you can report these errors here or by emailing technical support (help@click.endnote.com).

Normally we assess issues on a case-by-case basis. However, there is a plugin-wide bug that causes the viewer to load the wrong PDF.

This is something that our engineering team is actively working on, and once the fix is shipped (within the next 24 hours), the plugin should revert back to its expected behaviour. I will confirm here in a comment after we publish the plugin update with the bug fix.

Thanks for bearing with us and let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Virag

Dear Haley,

The fix is live now (EndNote Click plugin version1.0.4). Please note, you will need to remove the incorrect PDF from your Locker, and add it again. If the plugin still indicates the paper being in your Locker, please start a new browser session.

Let us know if you run into any issues.

Best,

Virag

as of 3 minutes ago I am still having about 1 in 4 papers that EndNote Click (1.0.4) loads on Web of Science be the completely wrong thing--still in the same area of research sometimes though. I would also like a way to flag this, as it is turning out to be really common and a huge setback.

Hi Jessica,

Can you please share the DOIs of those articles? We will then be able to investigate this asap.

Thank you, Virag

Hi,

I have the same problem with 1.0.4.

Example:

DOI I want: 10.1159/000070441 Pearce and Dibdin (2003)

PDF I get: Biochem.J. (1967) 104,1011, Fernley and Walker

Hi, I have the same problem with 1.0.4 version.

And I also find this kind of problem leads to the error of PDF, which is usually the first document in the reference.

I hope you'll notice this detail.

The fix to the Web of Science error is live in the new plugin version - EndNote Click v1.0.5.

It is already available for Firefox and is currently pending approval in Google Chrome. You can enforce the update manually on your browser's extension settings page or wait for automatic updates.

Hi!

I use the now "EndNote Click", version 2.3.0 and still there is no "report wrong file" or anything like that.

That would be much much welcomed!

Thank you.
