Kopernio pops up when I'm using Scopus, but not Web of Science - why is this? It is a Clarivate product ...

Hi Daniel,

Could you paste the URL of the page you're on where you would expect the plugin to appear and our team can investigate what's happening.

Many thanks,

Ben

Hi, I have the same problem. In addition, I don't see the button in Scopus either. The only search engine where it works so far is Google scholar, and I don't use that very often. It would be nice if it worked in Web of science. And, ehh... the URL is here: https://apps.webofknowledge.com/

You guys have placed advertisements there, so I find it a bit strange that you were asking for the URL...

Hi again, here is an update: Kopernio doesn't work on Web of science when you are using Firefox, but it works in Opera.

When I follow a link in Web of Science (clicking on the title) in Firefox, the Kopernio pop-up appears and starts searching for PDFs, but it doesn't find anything. I managed to install Kopernio on Opera (after installing the Chrome extensions add-on), and it works nicely, the PDF button appearing after a few seconds. I don't know enough about web browsers to understand why, but there it is.

Thanks Ann for reporting these. I'm glad to hear that Kopernio is working for you in Opera. We're still looking into the Firefox issue. Do you have the exact page URL on which you would have expected to see Kopernio appear?

Hi Ann,

I'm happy to share that Kopernio now works on more Web of Science article record pages. Previously there was an issue where Kopernio wouldn't appear if the page was loaded via a proxy. This should now be resolved. Please drop us a line a help@kopernio.com if the problem pops up again.

Best,

Ben
