Hi Ali,

When you import directly to Zotero can you see a small pop-up with the title 'Import File'?

There should be a small checkbox with the text 'Import to new collection'. Unticking that checkbox will save the new reference record to the collection (folder) that you have open.

Hope this helps but please let me know if you need any help.

Best,

Hi,

I might be doing it wrong. After I click on the PDF window for an article, the next window I am forwarded to is a Kopernio site that has the following address in the beginning: https://kopernio.com/viewer. there is an option to export to Zotero via a RIS file, clicking on that will create a new folder. There is no pop-up when I do this, is there any other way to export pdf to zotero?

Thanks for confirming this, Ali.

I also use Chrome and Zotero 5.0.69, and when I click the 'Export to Zotero' button in the Kopernio PDF viewer, this is what I see:

Have you seen this pop-up before, when you imported reference from another website?

Thank you, I got it. I thought the pop-up menu is in the browser itself. my problem is solved.
